Jacobson Up On The Radio

Jacobson Up On The Radio

Republican Matt Jacobson is up on the radio.

On Tuesday, Jacobson posted a copy of his ad, and yesterday sent out a release touting it. The ad in question is currently running across the state, and is intended to introduce Jacobson to voters, and promote the release of his “Plan for a New Maine“.

The ad itself – featuring Jacobson narrating – is upbeat, and highlights his military background, his work at Maine & Company (“I’ve already brought jobs to Maine – thousands of them”), and attempts to position him as the candidate with, “the right experience” to lead Maine.

Overall it is a very good ad.

My only gripe (something noted by Mike Tipping as well by saying it was “…the longest crescendo in Maine political history”) is that toward the end the music got just a bit distracting as it built up to a bright/loud finish – something that overshadowed Jacobson’s voice a little bit.

But that is minor.  The message is strong, it is delivered well by the candidate, and it makes for a good introduction of Jacobson to voters.

I like Matt, but he hasn’t got a chance with Otten, Poliquin and Abbott in the race as each will have significantly more resources than he can even dream of.
