Yes On One Clinging To A Lead, Looks Increasingly Strong

With 63% of precincts reporting, the results are as follows:

Question 1 – People’s Veto of Equal Marriage Bill

  • Yes – 188,497 – 52%
  • No – 176,473 – 48%

As the night wears on and the numerical lead for Yes on One continues to be in five digits, that bodes well for their chances to pull this off.

I’m not prepared to call this – but I think we are seeing this question solidify a bit.

It should be noted that many of the large voting bloc areas with heavy liberal representation have already been counted.  Portland, Bangor, etc.

I said earlier in the night that this would go to recount – and it might – but I’m not so sure it will need to anymore.
